So far, the only highbrow/lowbrow discussions seem to be about tv shows. Is that it, cos I mean, I live in Baltimore, man. This whole town is a highbrow/lowbrow conundrum. And I think the Simpsons counts as highbrow, by the way.

Sun, July 17, 2005 - 11:16 AMwell, tv shows are easy fodder when it comes to hb/lb. But since you mention it, cities are also a good example, where they have their educated and cultural highpoints, yet can be pretty crass and/or stupid at the same time. Baltimore seems to have that air about it.
Books, yeah, i'm sure there are plenty of books that qualify in the hb/lb category. -

Sun, July 17, 2005 - 9:33 PMSure...comic books are one of the most obvious examples- even more so than most hb/lb TV shows. You can have a lot of hb/lb comedians as well...Bill Hicks, Chris Rock and even Dave Chappelle are good examples.
